Polar Bears

Afternoon!

Hope you've all had nice weekend. I've got an exiting new years eve planned tomorrow - my friend is hosting a children's tea party so we'll all be saying Happy New Year about 5pm!  Then I've got a date with my craft storage drawers.   There's 8 and I've sorted out 5 so far - but the last 3 are crammed and it's just impossible to find anything in them... oh and then there is ll the stuff I piled on the top of the drawers to find homes for!!

Here's another one of my Christmas Card - this one was for my husband:

The image is a stamp from Lili of the Valley - I thought it was cute!  The papers are First Edition - Stocking Fillers (I think!)

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
Paperplay - Out with the Old, In With the New (Old Ribbon and Pearls /  New Stamp)
Card Crafters Circle - Anything Goes
Catch the Bug - Holidays / Seasonable
Lexi's Creations - Snow
Little Miss Muffet - Anything Goes
Fresh Brewed - Christmas
Totally Gorjuss - New (New Stamp)
Ladybug Crafts - Christmas and/or Winter
Whimsy Stamps - Anything Festive Goes

Thanks for looking!  Have a great New Year!!

Another Christmas Card

Evening!

Hope you all had a super Christmas - our house looks like a toy shop exploded, but we had a fab time!

I didn't finish my Christmas cards until the 23rd December so have got quite a few I've not yet bored you with shared!

I've completely run out of tape pens and the card I like to use for colouring with promarkers! I was looking forward to a good spending spree picking up things that are too nice to use in the sale -  but instead will be spent on basics - boring!!

Here's the card I made for my Grandad:

The image is from bugaboo - and perfect for a quick card as there's virtually no colouring needed!!  The paper is First Edition - Christmas Joy (I think!)

Tonight I need to catch up on everyone's lovely blogs and my DT commenting - as I'm a little behind.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Everybody Art Challenge - Anything Goes
Do You Stack Up - Turquoise
Totally Gorjuss - Easy Does It
Creative Craft Challenges - Non Traditional Christmas
Reasonable Ribbon - Anything Goes with Ribbon
Aud's Sentiments - Anything with a Sentiment
Di's Digi Designs - Christmas
Bunny Zoe - Winter

Thanks for looking!

Not long to go...

Morning!

I just love Christmas - my children are starting to get all exciting about Santa, and so am I!

My Christmas cards are coming along nicely - I've made 8 today already and have just nine left to make!  I can see a few late nights over the next couple of days as I want to spend a little bit more time on these one!

Today the new challenge goes live at Stampin' For the Weekend and the theme is everyone's favourite - Anything Goes!!

We have two - yes two fabulous sponsors this time:

and

Here's my card - I made it for my best friend at at work.  I love this stamp - I saw it on someone else's blog and knew I had to buy it!!

I love the flowers - I cut them from a cheesecloth type fabric with some a sizzlits die.  I wasn't sure it would cut it - but it did. I've used glamour dust for the snow - it's so lovely but should come with a warning on the bottle that it's going to go everywhere!!

Anyway I hope you can join us for this challenge - can't wait to see what you all create!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Paper Take Weekly - Pick of the Year (Flower Power)
Fresh Brewed - Christmas
Fab and Funky - Add ribbon and / or lace
Penny's Challenges - Merry Christmas
The Paper Shelter - Anything Goes

Thanks for looking - hope you all have a lovely Christmas!

Let It Snow

Morning!!

Another two week break in posting again!!.  Thankfully my Christmas Cards are coming along nicely, plus I've got two days off next week so plan to get lots more done.  (Although I'll *have* to go out for lunch with a friend on one of those days so may as well write off one of those days!!)

It's time for a new challenge at Stampin' For the Weekend:

We are sponsored by the wonderful Simon Says Stamp again.

Simon Says Stamp

Our theme this time is: Let it Snow - actually I'd rather it didn't snow.  It's all lovely and pretty but that's about all that's good about snow.  It's cold, wet, cold, driving is a nightmare oh and did I mention that it's cold?!  YUK!

Anyway here's my card:

Oh look, I've used a Heather Ellis image - not often you see them on my cards!!!  And the paper is something I picked up in the sales last year - I think it's Forever Friends - it has a lovely gold sheen to it.

Hope you can all come and join in our challenge - I love to see what you all create!!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Craft Your Passion - Snow
Tuesday Thrown Down - White Christmas
Whoopsi Daisy - Christmas Cards
One Stitch at a Time - Anything Goes
Lexis Creations - Christmas

Stampin' for the Weekend

Morning!

Ooops! I've not posted for two weeks!  Not sure what happened there - I just seem to have had no time.  I've only made 12 Christmas card all year - this is not good news - something tells me I've got a busy few weeks coming up!

Stampin' for the Weekend

Anyway - it's time for a new challenge at Stampin' For the Weekend and our new theme is texture. So we want to see your beautiful makes with lovely lace, cheesecloth, tulle, fabric, embossing, flowers etc!

We also have a fab sponsor for this challenge:

So here's my card - I made it for my lovely friend Gemma as it was her birthday yesterday:

So for my texture I've added some lovely thick lace and a nice red flower, plus I've done a bit of distressing.  This Gorjuss stamp is lovely and just made for paper piecing (plus it saves loads of time colouring!)  I think I'm going to ask Father Christmas for a distressing tool, rather than using a pair of scissors like I did here.

Really hope you can join us in this challenge - can't wait to see what you create.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Make It Monday - Anything Goes
The Paper Shelter - Birthdays
Cute Card Thursday - Girls Only
My Grafico - Anything Goes
Little Miss Muffet - Textiles
The Squirrel and the Fox - Anything Goes

Thanks for looking - hope you enjoy your weekend!

Stampin' for the Weekend - All Stitched Up

Morning!

It's nearly time for the weekend - hope you've all got lots planned!  We've got the children scooters so we need to take them somewhere they won't be a menace to the public.

A new challenge launches today at Stampin' for the Weekend and the theme is: All Stitched Up

We have two amazing sponsors for this challenge:

Simon Says Stamp
and
Lilly Of The Valley

So here is my card:

I've made a shaker card, it's one of the samples I've made to show my WI tonight.  I was up very very late last night sorting out materials.  I'm planning to take my hoover along as when I made this I ended up covered in glitter as I somehow didn't seal it properly and when I shook the glitter down to the bottom of the card loads came out!

Plus would you believe I've stamped that image myself - normally things start going wrong as soon as I break out the ink!  Although my good stamping makes up for my rubbish sewing machine skills!!  A lot more practice is required I think!

Anyway I really hope you can join us for our All Stitched Up Challenge - I love seeing what everyone creates!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Penny's Challenges - Lots of Layers
Paperplay - Snowflakes
Whoopsi Daisy - Christmas Cards
One Stitch at a Time - Anything Goes
Natalie and Amy - Colour Me Happy ( I love cards made with lots of shades of whites, creams etc)
CLP Challenge - Sketch 53

Thanks for looking!

Brrrrrrrr!

Evening!

Hasn't it gone cold?  We went to a fireworks display tonight and it was a bit nippy.  I'm drinking some nice hot chocolate now to warm myself up.

I'm feeling pretty cheerful this week as I won a £15 voucher over at Natalie and Amy's (monthly) Challenge blog here.  I've ordered lots of lovely things and the package is on it's way!!  Yipee!

Here's my latest card share, another Christmas card.  I really do need to get a move on and make some more.  (Although this week I shall mainly be getting ready to do a "demonstration" at my WI.  I am attempting to show people how to make shaker cards - I'm beginning to think I should have chosen something easier as the potential for disaster is huge.)

I love this snowman image as it takes no time to colour!  My rubbish photography means you can't see the sparkle on the big pin snowflake or the image.  Nor can you see the glossy accents on his nose, baubles and holly berries. It is there though - honest!!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Make it Monday - Anything Goes
Card Crafters Circle - Patterned Paper
Fab n Funky - Die Cuts/Punches
The Paper Shelter - Anything Goes
Willow Sketchie - Festive Sparkle and Shine
Catch the Bug - Anything Goes
Crafty Calendar - Wrap up Warm for Winter

That's all for tonight - thanks for looking!

Happy Halloween

Evening!

Just a quick post from me tonight as I am shattered - far too many late nights from me.

I mentioned a while back about the craft swap that Kat from With U in Mind was running - well today is the exciting reveal day.  I'm so proud of myself for resisting temptation to open my package for the last two weeks.

Here's what I received in the post - a note book with a beautiful cover. I've had it sat on my desk all day and bored everyone at work to tears by showing it to everyone that comes into our office:

How cute is that owl and, although the picture doesn't show it, the moon is all lovely and sparkly with glitter.

So I just want to say a huge thank-you to Jan who made my gift - why not check out her blog, as her work is truly beautiful!

Thanks all from me - I'm off to bed.  Thanks for hosting Kat!!

Stampin' for the Weekend - Anything Goes

Morning!

Check me out - three posts in one week!!

Today a new challenge launches at Stampin' For the Weekend and I think you're going to like it!

Whoop! Whoop! - it's Anything Goes!  Anything at all - so as long as it has a stamped or digital image on it you can go wild!!

We also have an amazing sponsor this month it's The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop.

My lovely parents-in-law celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary last week and this is the card I made for them:

Oh look - I used my favourite Tiddly Ink's image again!! They have a lovely picture of their wedding day and as it was the 70's the groom wore a brown skinny flared suit, hence the brown suit in this picture.

So why not pop over and join in - my teamies have done some stunning work, and I'm sure that we are going to be kept pretty busy looking at all the entries!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Do You Stack Up - Embossing
Fashionista Challenge - Anything Goes
The Squirrel and the Fox - Use a Ribbon
Stamptacular Sunday - No Rules
One Stitch at a Time - Use a Digi
Penny's Challenges - Ribbons and / or buttons

Thanks for looking!

Edited to add challenge entries!

Emily's birthday card

Evening all!

Hope you're having a good week, and that work isn't too pants.  Luckily for me it's Wednesday and being a part-time it's the end of my working week, and then I can sit back, relax and watch a bit of telly .... what's that ... I've got to do the school run and look after a two year old?... Oh well!

I've realised I didn't share Emily's birthday card with you all when she turned 4 in September, so here it is:

Surprisingly it's a Pollycraft Image!  My papers are from First Edition - Little Owl and the rest is stuff that;s been lurking in my stash for a while.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Craft Your Passion - Fairies and Fantasy
Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Cute Card Thursday - Got Glitter (Wings!)
Totally Gorjus - Bling it on
One Stop Craft Challenge - Anything Goes

Grrrr to technology!!

Hello,

I really do hate computers.  My laptop broke again, so I've had very limited access to the internet for the last two weeks - which was a nightmare. I even managed to delete comments on our DT blog trying to use blogger on my mobile, (sorry about that girls!) Every time it goes away to be fixed I hope they'll just tell me I can have a new one - but they never do.  In the mean time I must must must remember to keep my hard drive backed up as we had to make a mad dash over to a friends house to have the hard drive copied before we sent it away for repair.

Anyway I've made loads of cards recently and plan to share them with you all over the next couple of weeks, here's the first one. This card is for my Niece, she was 11 a week or so ago.  I had great fun shopping for her birthday present as I bought her a load of a card making things!

I treated myself to a couple of Lili of the Valley Stamps - I've stayed away from stamping as all my efforts previously have been rubbish.  This is stamped quite nicely, even if I did use a somewhat unorthodox method of stamping.  I even surprised myself with the results.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Cupcake Craft - Two's company
The Paper Shelter - Charming (there is a little ladybird, but it's just hiding behind the bow!)
Woopsi Daisy - Birthdays
Lollypop Crafts - Happy Birthday
Creative Craft Challenges - Three - three pearls.
Ladybug Crafts Ink - Flowers and Embossing
Craft Us Crazy - Children / And or Fall
Southern Girls - Tie a ribbon around it

That's for night, tonight I'm planning to catch up on my Design Team commenting - I love seeing what people have made, and then I'm going to catch up with all the lovely blogs I follow over the next couple of days.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Good luck!

Evening!

This weeks hasn't been great for me - hence no posts - but I was thrilled to find out I made the Top 3 in a Nutcrafters Challenge - check me out!!!

I wanted to share with you all a card I made last week for one of my work colleagues who is leaving us.

Just a fairly simple card - but I've used some of my most favourite Heather Ellis digi's and my beautiful Memory Box butterfly dies.

I went to the Creative Stitch and Hobbycrafts show in Manchester a couple of weeks back and bought quite a lot of new things.  I actually went a bit crazy and loads of stuff including some fabric,I don't even use fabric, I don't have a clue what I'm going to do with this fabric - probably just admire it from time to time!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Shopping Our Stash - Fur or Feathers
The Paper Shelter - Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
Willow Sketchie - Favourite Things (I love Heather Ellis Digis)
Woopsie Daisy - Things with Wings
Craft Us Crazy - Halloween / Anything Goes

Anyway I'm off to bed now - thanks for looking!

Stampin' For The Weekend - Feeling Floral

Morning,

Hopefully blogger will play ball and post this for me at the right time, as I'm out being a super proud mum.  My little girl started the nursery year at school this week and I'm taking her to school for the first time today!  She looks so grown up and cute in her uniform.

Edited to say - I am heartbroken - I didn't even get a single glance back, she ran in found something interesting to play with and then looked at me as if to say "why are you still here?"

Anyway I could talk about how lovely she looks all day but I won't, which I'm sure you'll all be pleased to hear.  Today is that start of a new challenge at Stamping for the Weekend!  Yippee...

Our theme for this fortnight is Feeling Floral.  Yes that's right we want to see those flowers, either on the image, on your papers, embellishments,  or why not go for all three!!

We have a fab sponsor this fortnight - it's In2Stamps who have a fabulous prize for our lucky winner!

So here's my card - I decided to go the whole hog and have flowers in my image, on my paper and chucked on a some more flowers to finish it off.

Really hope you can pop over and join in our challenge - I love seeing what everyone creates!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Craft Your Passion - Bingo - (Yellow, Ribbon, Flowers)
Whoopsi Daisy - Make it Girly
Creative Craft Challenges - Anything Goes
Simply Create Too - Anything Goes
Card Crafter's Circle - Ribbon and Roses

Thanks for stopping by - hope you have a great weekend!

Halloween Craft Swap

Hi,

Just a quick post from me this morning!

I just wanted to let you know that the lovely Kat from With U in Mind is hosting a Halloween Craft Swap.

Why not check out her blog for the details, if you're interested.

I think she's closing entries this weekend so you'll need to be quick!

Have a great day!

One for the boys!

Evening.

Hope you've all had a good day!  I had a lovely trip to the local craft shop and purchased a thing or two (or more!!)

Here's a card I made a week or so ago for my Brother-in-Law - he's been watching something on TV recently about Motorcycles -so we've decided he's having a mid-life crisis!

In honour of this I managed to find a Crazy Biker image from Kenny K, not the usual type of image you find on my cards - not to mention I did the colouring wrong on the flames - but apart from that I really like it!

You can't tell from the picture but the bike frame is covered in lots of glossy accents and is super shiny.  The cogs are a card die-cut (maybe / not sure) that I found in my local craft shop - and I covered them with three layers of metallic embossing power - they looked fab when I had finished with them.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

The Stamping Boutique - Any Sort of Job - Crazy Stuntman - I'm thinking of Evil Knievel!
Do You Stack Up - Birthdays
One Stop Craft Challenge - No Floral Embellishments
Creative Craft Challenges - One for the Boys
Ladybug Crafts -Anything Goes

Anyway - thanks for looking - enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Stampin' For The Weekend - Starting Christmas Early

Morning!

Wow I've had a busy week - my little girl was 4 at the weekend and we had a party for her which was great fun as we arranged for someone to bring "a few animals round".  A few animals ended up being a full Zoo - there were 3 skunks, a chinchilla, sugar gliders, a chameleon, a dragon-type thing, a super cute gecko, a tarantula (yuk!), stick insects, millipedes, hedgehogs and a few others!!   Crazy but great fun!!

Today a new challenged launches over at Stampin for the Weekend - Starting Christmas Early.  I'm so glad of this challenge as I'm starting to panic about how many cards I need for Christmas - especially as this card is only number 6! I've got such a long way to go.

We have a fabulous sponsor for this challenge:

Simon Says Stamp
with a $25 voucher to spend!
Here's my card:

I love Christmas cards in non-traditional colours!  The papers are First Edition - Christmas Joy - I got them in the sales last year half price - I love a crafty bargain!

So why not pop over and take a look at what the rest of my teamies have done, and then join in - it'll be one less to make in the December madness!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

St Lukes Hospice - Couples
Little Claire's - Best Friends
Aud's Sentiments - Christmas is Coming
For Fun - Inspired by a Song (Frosty the Snowman - I sing this, Rudolf the Rednose Reindeer and Jingle Bells all year round as my children love them)

Another Wedding Card

Evening all,

Here's my latest card - they've been a bit thin on the ground recently I just seem to have loads going on.  My little girl is 4 at the weekend so I've been making bunting and arranging her party!

I've also run out of colouring card, I know I've got two precious sheets left - but just can't find it.   I've ordered some more and hopefully it'll be here by Saturday as I still need to make her birthday card and if it doesn't turn up I'll have to make an emergency trip to the craft shop!

This is a card I made for a family wedding at the weekend.  It uses the same image as my last card share from Tiddly Inks, I really do like this image.  I'm not too sure if I like this card though - I think it's just the fact that it's not really in my normal style (not that I have any style - but you know what I mean!)  You'll have to let me know what you think - I think the ink on the image might be a bit too strong and should have been a more of a chocolatey-brown.

Anyway I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Everybody Art Challenge - Anything Goes
Tuesday Throwdown - Colour Crazy (this is a crazy colour combo for me!)
The Paper Shelter - Layers and Layers
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
Whoopsi Daisy - Two Patterned Papers
Southern Girls - It's all about Flora
Little Claire's - Best Friends
Whimsy Stamps - Lots of Layers

That's all for me - time for a bit of look around lots of fabulous blogs and then bed!

Thanks for looking!

Stampin' For the Weekend - Pearls and Swirls

Morning!!

Hope you're all ready for the weekend.

This morning a new challenge launches over at Stampin' for the Weekend:

We have a fabulous sponsor this time:

They have provided a lovely prize of a ribbon and embellishment bundle - it's fab - I wish I could win it!!

So the theme this week is Pearl and Swirls - and here's my take on the challenge:

I made this a while back for a friends wedding.  I love the swirly paper - it books embossed but its more like a foam.  I've got some bits of it left - and I keep looking at it.  I'm saving it for something special - not sure what that is though.

The image is from Tiddly Inks - I can't remember it's name - but I think it's just beautiful.

Anyway you really should pop over and check out what my teamies have made - there are some beautiful creations!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Whoopsi Daisy - Include a Sentiment
Lollipop Crafts - Anything Goes
Tuesday Throwdown - Hip to be Square
The Paper Shelter - Anything Goes

Thanks for looking!!

Craft Your Days Away - Olympic Dreams

Morning!!
Has anyone noticed there has been a bit of sport on TV - something called the Olympics?
I couldn't be any less sporty - but I've really been getting into it!

I especially liked the opening ceremony, one of my friends was dancing in the section for the NHS and children's literature, we had hoped to see her but we didn't.

So over at Craft Your Days Away we have our new challenge launching today called Olympic Dreams!

And we have a fabulous sponsor - Bugaboo!!

Here's my card for the challenge - let's just say I had a few technical difficulties making a card!! Which my blog teamies have heard me moaning about - but I'll spare you all the details!

Anyway I really hope you can join us for this challenge, so why not pop over and see what fabulous creations the rest of the girls have made, especially as this is our penultimate challenge. The lovely Joanne has decided to bring Craft Your Day's Away to an end. Sob Sob!!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

The colour is purple!

Hi,

I've had a fab weekend - hope you all have too.  Last night I went to the open air cinema to watch Dirty Dancing - it was great, everyone was cheering, singing and dancing along.

Anyway this morning I made a card for my friend at work and you may have guessed that her favourite colour is purple.  She also bought a hula hoop last week to help her get fit - so this image is just perfect.

For once it's a fairly decent photo as I managed to take it outside - what a difference natural light makes!
The paper is from Docrafts, it's so lovely and sparkly and the image is Digi Stamp boutique.

The summer memory box border die is cut into felt - not something I'll be doing again in a hurry as after about 5 attempt and even with a layer of card on top of the die and under the felt it didn't cut completely in places and I had to make some little cuts with my scissors.  Unfortunately one of the little butterflies didn't make it - however I don't think the recipient will notice so we'll keep that little fact between ourselves!!  In the mean time if you have any tips for me on cutting fiddly dies into felt - I'm all ears!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Do You Stack Up - For a Friend
Saturday Challenge - Bright and Cheerful
Creative Craft Challenges - Summertime
Really Reasonable Ribbon - Sizzling Summer Colours and Ribbon
Crafty Calendar - Fun the Sun with Sparkle and Shine (Sparkle - paper and Butterflies, Shine - Hula Hoop)
Digi Stamp Boutique - Customer Competition

Thanks for looking - have a great week!

The challenge for this fortnight is Shades of Grey + 1 Other, so why not pop over and join in - there are some amazing creations from my teamies.

We have a fabulous sponsor for this challenge - it's The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop and their fabulous prize is a ribbon and embellishment bundle.

Here's my card for this challenge:

I've realised it's nearly Christmas so I've made a Christmas Card (ok - I know it's not but I do need to get a wiggle on with my Christmas cards). I've used a cute Pollycraft image and the snowflakes are chipboard shapes covered in blue glass embossing powder. The snowflake paper is simply some snowflakes stamped in black ink onto the grey card.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges

Willow Sketchie - Christmas in July
Paper Play Challenges - Christmas in July
Card Crafters Circle - For Children
Cardmadfairy  - Christmas in July
Ladybug Crafts Ink - Christmas in July

Anyway thanks for looking - I need to go and tidy my house now as my sister is coming to stay with us this weekend and my house looks like a bomb has hit it.

Hope you all have a good weekend!

Edited to add challenge entries - as I finally got my house tidy!

Craft Your Days Away - Doilies and Lace

Morning!!

Hope you are all ready for the weekend with your wellies and raincoats... where on earth has our summer gone??

So it's time for a new challenge at Craft Your Days Away. This fortnight the theme is Doilies and Lace, and has been set by the lovely Berit.  There is a super prize for this challenge - which is a selection of doilies, lace and pearls!

Here's my card:

I made this card a while back as my friend was due to have her baby and I wanted to personalise it - but the baby is now 13 days late so I've not been able to yet!!  It seems like the baby is well and truly settled in.   I think she's off to the hospital tomorrow so hopefully she won't be kept waiting to meet her baby much longer!  But if you could all send the baby some pain-free eviction vibes that would be great!  I suppose it's only a good thing that the weather has been so rubbish - being hot and very pregnant in the summer is no fun!

The papers are from a First Edition stack called Sweet Owl and the digi is from Pollycraft.

So why not pop along and join us, there are some fab creations from my teamies for you to see.

Thanks for looking!
