Stampin' For the Weekend - Anything Goes

Hello!!

I'm pretty excited today - there are only 4 more sleeps until Christmas.  Oh and because I got some cute little wooden bird houses from the supermarket for £1.75, currently they are Christmas themed (and were half price!), but I'm going to alter them and cover them with pretty paper!

Anyway I'm here with my post for Stampin' For the Weekend.  This is our last challenge of 2013 and as everyone is super busy, we've made it an easy one:  ANYTHING GOES!!

We are sponsored for this challenge by Rick St Dennis however I've had printer problems and as I'm a last minute kind of girl I had to improvise and use an card I made a while ago, but hadn't had the chance to blog.

This card was for my lovely father-in-law for his 65th birthday!
The image is from Tiddlyinks and is called the carpenter.  The papers are from Stampin up!  It really should have had a happy birthday sentiment on it - but I made it about an hour before we were due to go out, and couldn't find the stamp I was looking for! Grrr.

Anyway I do hope you can join us for this challenge.  Don't forget to link up your creation and show us what you've been doing.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Charisma Cards - Anything Goes
Digi Galore Challenge - Anything Goes
Crafts 4 Eternity - Anything Goes
Sister Act Card Challenge - Anything Goes

Thanks for looking - hope you have a lovely Christmas

Aloha Friday Challenge - Christmas

Hello!

It's the final challenge of the year at Kitty Bee Designs.

And to finish the year off our theme is CHRISTMAS.  Lovely and Easy.  We've been spoiled for choice with images to use for this challenge but in the end I chose to use Santa Cow - but why not stop by the Kitty Bee Shop and have a look at the other lovely images you can buy! I loves them so much!!

Here's my card:

I'd like to tell you what brand the paper is but I haven't a clue!!  His hat is so lovely and sparkly - I've used loads and loads of glitter on it.

So why not stop by the Kitty Bee Blog and link up your Christmas card for us to see!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Papertake Weekly - Christmas creatures
Passion for Promarkers - Include a Sentiment
Cute Card Thursday - Christmas Catch up
Sister Act Card Challenge  - Anything Goes

Stampin' For the Weekend - Use something red!

Afternoon!

I'm here with my design team post for Stampin' For the Weekend.  We are sponsored again by Saturated Canary.   Although I think next year I'm going to have to get over my fear of big hair!

Our theme this fortnight is USE SOME RED.   I'm sure you'll all be able to enter something into this challenge.

Here's my card - I used Christmas Angel.

This is actually and 8 x 8 card, I made it to give to someone who has been so helpful to our WI group this year so we needed something a bit showy! Although those spellbinder frames make the air turn blue when I use them as I never seem to get a clean cut!

As my photography is so rubbish the picture just doesn't show how lovely and sparkly her wings are. Plus I finally found a use for all the embossing the power I have squirrelled away but never use.  I even covered the the brad in the centre which I think is green under all that.

Anyway I do hope you can join in our challenge!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

The ABC Challenge - A: Almost Christmas
Emerald Faeries - Christmas
Ladybug Crafty - Christmas / Winter
Natalie and Amy - Cute and Cuddly Christmas
Bearly Mine - Christmas Sentiment
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Winter Wonderland - Embossing
C.R.A.F.T Challenge - Christmas
Little Miss Muffet - You've Been Framed

Thanks for looking!

Stampin' For the Weekend - Feeling Festive!

Hi,

It's time for a new challenge at Stampin' for the Weekend and it's time for a Christmas Challenge.

I love love love Christmas!  I can't wait to put our Christmas tree up next weekend. We have a family ritual which includes a trip to the garden centre for everyone to pick a new ornament, followed by some cake and drink, then back home to decorate the tree.

The children pick such odd ornaments, they used to look at bit out of place with my pre-children, sophisticated all-gold colour scheme, but now I love the mix of random things on the tree, including the Christmas Sheep!  I can't wait to see what they pick this year.

Anyway our festive challenge is sponsored by the amazing:

Here's my card:

You're going to be seeing a lot of this little penguin as I think he is super cute, with a touch of glossy accents on his feet and nose!  He's from Kitty Bee Designs!  I even think he could be a she coloured up pink (obviously!)  I love all the sparky paper too, you can never have too much glitter on a Christmas card!

So come one what are you waiting for - time to start making those Christmas cards!! I can't wait to see what you all make.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Sparkles Forum Challenge - Animals
Visible Image - Make it Sparkle
A little bit crafty - Sparkle and Shine
Cards Galore - Animals
Creatalious Challenges - Christmas Time
Crafty Sentiments - Christmas

Our theme for this challenge is Fall Colours.

I made a corner book mark with this cute bear image:

I love the ruffled ribbon - so much easier than trying to make ruffles yourself!  (the Book is Inheritance by Christoper Paolini, just in case you interested - an excellent book!)

Thanks for looking - I can't wait to see what you all create!

Gorjuss Birthday

Morning!

My mother-in-law is coming to visit today.  For lots of people this wouldn't be happy occasion. Me? I'm thrilled. For two reasons: 1. She is lovely and 2. (and most importantly) she's taking my children home with her!!!!!!  Yahooooooooo!!  3 whole days of freedom, not being woken up by someone climbing in to bed with us at 3am and spending the rest of the night hogging the bed or wiggling, or serenading us at 5am in morning while sat on the toilet!  A full nights sleep will be mine!!!

Anyway enough bragging - I wanted to share with you all a card I made for my lovely work friend last week.   I was searching through me stamps and found some Gorjuss stamps I haven't really used very much - so decided to ink up this cutie.  Unfortunately the squirrel to the side of the girl didn't make it!

The picture is very poor quality - mainly due to me taking it in my car on a cloudy day (don't ask!) but you get the idea. I've used some more of my lovely Crate Paper packs - this one is Maggie Holmes. The tickets are super cute - I bought them in a random little craft shop and then stamped badly on them.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Passion for Pro Markers - Give me a P (pearls, patterned paper, pin, pink)
Ladybug Crafts Ink - Anything Goes
Hobby House Challenge - Roses
Sister Act Card Challenge - Anything Goes
Craftin' Boutique - Anything Goes
Crafty Little Fairies - Anything Goes

It's a bit more cute than spooky.  I just love this cute Halloween Cow - it's from Kitty Bee Designs.  The picture doesn't show the ribbon my sign is hanging on very well but it's fab I bought it a craft fair last year.

Kitty Bee - Aloha Friday Challenge: Halloween

Check me out!

Two posts in one day.  I'm back with my Kitty Bee Designs DT post.  This challenge our theme is Halloween.

This week I've been using the cute Kitty Bee Images to make little treat boxes for my friends at work. My plan is too fill them with mini bags of Haribo.  Everyone likes Haribo.

I've never made these little pillow boxes before they were super easy. I downloaded a template, printed it on the back of my patterned paper, cut it, scored it, folded it and stuck it. Easy peasy!  I also added some lovely black lace to tie up with.

I don't have a lot of Halloween papers - but I've got some Gorjus papers and they were just what I needed.  How cute is this little bat! You can buy these lovely images here!

I'd like to enter this project into the following challenges:

My Craft Spot - Trick or Treat
Stamp and Create - Fall or Halloween
Creative Corner Challenge - Anything but a Card
Crafty Catz - Halloween
Digi Haven - Halloween
Polkadoodles - Halloween

Here's my card:

I've used this cute little Snow Penguin Digi from Kitty Bee Designs - I love it! You could get it here! My paper is from My Minds Eye and is left over from last year.  (To be fair my left over paper from last year is enough to make all my Christmas cards this year and probably next year too!)

Thanks for looking!

Aloha Friday - Water - Mid Challenge Reminder!

Evening.

I'm here with my mid challenge reminder for the Kitty Bee Designs "Aloha Friday  Challenge".  The theme is water and after I've done my post I'm off for a soak in the bath.  I hate to admit it but I've been doing some *exercise* ugh and my muscles are aching. So I thought a nice long soak in the bath with a book would be just the thing.

This time I've made an invitation.  If I was really clever I could have done the whole thing on the computer, coloured it digitally and then printed out onto little cards but as I don't actually know how to do anything apart from print on normal A4 I had to do a bit more faffing around.

Here it is:

It's only a little 4 x 4 card.  These cute little Jellyfish look really lovely in real life - I've put some lovely stickles glitter on them.

So why not enter our challenge with your watery creations.  You'll just need to make sure you enter on the original challenge post here.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Papertake Weekly - Make it Sparkle
Bunny Zoe - Something Blue
The Pink Elephant - Digital Images or Papers
Sister Act Card Challenge - Anything Goes
Wags 'n' Whiskers - Sparkle

Thanks for looking!

Tuesday Throwdown - Things with Wings!

Evening

I'm here today with my Tuesday Throwdown card.

But first I'd like to complain about the weather - it's gone so cold.  Tonight I've put my big fleecy dressing gown over my clothes - as the rule in our house is no central heating until October!    I also had to have a a cup of tea (and a Jammie dodger to dunk in it!) to help me feel more cosy.

This week at Tuesday Throwdown our theme is Things with Wings. We are sponsored by MyGrafico who have given us some lovely images to work with.

Here's my card:

I've made a spinner card with my little fairy, hopefully you can see from the pictures that she is suspended in the middle, and you turn her round a couple of times before closing the card, then when someone opens it - it spins round and round.

This was fairly easy to make, and I think it's really cute!   Although I've bodged the mechanics a bit, you can't see the red and white Washi tape holding it altogether inside from this picture.  I'll have to fix that in a bit as I've promised the card to one of my friend at work for her mum.

I do hope you can join us for our challenge this week - it's always nice to see what everyone creates!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

ABC Challenge - V for Very Cute
Emerald Faeries - Magical Creatures
Designed to colour - Anything Goes
Ladybug Crafts - Anything Goes
Sparkles Forum Challenge - Fairies or Butterflies
Paper Makeup Stamps - Motion Card
Make it Monday - Anything Goes
Tammy's Scrapin Corner - Anything Goes

Thanks for looking - have a great week!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Passion for Promarkers - Perfect Pets

Evening!

I've been looking forward to this September for a while as my little boy starts school and freedom is is in sight! But I've been looking at him this week thinking he is far too small to go anywhere.  As much as it will be nice to have some time to get the house sorted (and catch up with blogging!), I'm going to miss our little outings together. Especially like the one this morning where we took the frog, that somehow got in my bedroom overnight, and set it free in the park!

The theme for our new challenge at Stampin' For the Weekend is back to school!  And we are fortunate enough to be sponsored by Saturated Canary again!

Tuesday Throwdown - Use your scraps!

Evening!

I can't believe that next week is the last week of the summer holiday for the children.  It feels like it's gone so quickly!

It's time for a new challenge at Tuesday Throwdown and before I share my card - I'd just like to tell you all that we are having a design team call - for more information click here.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Digital Delights:

... and the challenge is to Use Your Scraps - you know all those bits of paper and card you've put aside to use one day! I keep all of mine in a folder organised by colour (tragic!) but I never think to look in it - I always use a new piece.

So I had a look through and found some gold card I used at Christmas and some lovely papers I made a wedding card with last May!  I also looked through my envelope of printed images to see if I had anything and found this cake.

So here's my card:

This card is for my husband's uncle who is getting married next week!

I think I need to use my paper and card scraps more often, as I always manage to convince myself I need some new stuff for a card - but all of this was from my drawer and as I said earlier some of it had been lurking around for a year!

Why not have a look through your scraps - see what you've got.  It would be lovely if you could join us for our challenge.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Through the purple haze - Bingo (Bottom Line - flowers, pearls, sentiment)

Nice and Easy - I'm sure you all have a butterfly or two hanging around!

We are lucky to have Saturated Canary as our sponsor for this challenge!

I made this using the image GROW, which Krista offered as a freebie a while back - but now it's available in the shop! The card was for my little girl's teacher at the end of term.  She coloured in another copy of the image and we stuck it inside.  I wish I'd taken a picture of it as it was cute.

The papers are from Raspberry Road and where a freebie with a magazine, my butterflies are cut using a embosslits die from Stampin' Up!

Tuesday Throwdown - Don't be square

Evening!

It's time for another Tuesday Throwdown.  Although it's not Tuesday - I'm a whole day late!

This week our theme is Don't be square- so no square or rectangle card allowed this week!

We are sponsored this week by Robyn's Fetish who have very generously given us images to use!

Here's my project:

Everyone loves a cup of tea.  I though it would be fun to make this into a little gift and make with a pocket for a tea bag on the inside!

When you look at it from the inside you have to imagine it with one of those fancy individually wrapped teabags in it!  Unfortunately I only had pyramid tea bags which, as I found didn't really fit in that well! But you get the idea.

I do hope that you can join us at Tuesday Throwdown so we can see your shaped creations.

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Bearly Mine - Tic Tac Toe - (Ribbons, Circles, Die Cuts)
Craft Boots - Die Cuts

Aloha Friday Challenge at Kitty Bee Designs: Summer

Hello,

I'm back today with a a mid challenge post for Kitty Bee Designs current challenge: Summer.

I hope you've joined in already - if not why not stop by and see what the rest of my teamies have created for some inspiration. Here's my card:

I knew there was a reason I bought a die with a snail, starfish and scallop  on it - it's been sat in my drawer waiting for it turn to be used!!

I've used a image called Shave Ice Bunny - although to me it looked like neapolitan ice-cream and that how I coloured it.  I've since been informed that it a Hawaiian thing and is a finely shaved ice with syrup on it.  Sounds delicious - and it got me thinking does anyone remember having a Mr Frosty when they were little? (Might just be a UK / child of the 80's thing!)

I decided to make a shaker card, I've actually used gold embossing power to be the sand - I'm pleased with how it's turned ou,t I always think of Shaker cards for Christmas with plenty of glitter for snow - but sand is good too!

I'd like to be able to tell you where the paper came from - but I have no idea - it's been lurking around for a while!

Anyway - I do hope you can join in with this challenge!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Crafty Creations Challenge - Summer
Divas by Design - Anything Goes
Nutcrafters - Summer Sunshine Fun
The Paper Shelter - Anything Goes
Simon Say Stamp - Summer Food and/or Drink
Party Time Tuesday - Ice-cream
Bearly Mine Challenges - Anything Goes
Cute Card Thursday - Beside the Seaside
Happy Campers Challenge - Summer
Crafts and Me - Anything Goes

Thanks for looking!

Summer at Kitty Bee Designs

Afternoon!

Two posts from me in one day!! Keep scrolling if you are looking for my Stampin' For the Weekend Post!

I have some very exciting news today - I've been chosen to be part of the Kitty Bee Designs DT - they have the cutest images ever - check them out here!.  Today is my first post for them and their fortnightly challenge blog - this time our theme is Summer.

Here is my first project for them:  some cute fridge magnet / note holders, made from pegs.

These are so cute and so easy to make.  I bought some magnetic sticky "tape" and attached that to one side of the peg.  A strip of lovely paper down the other (not forgetting the glittter!) and the attaching a cute cute cute bear to the top!

Here's a picture of one in action holding a leaflet.  The eagle eyed amongst you may notice that this is not attached to a fridge but the inside of a door - and you would be correct.  However the light in my kitchen is just terrible and the photo's I managed to take on the fridge looked ... well ... even worse than my normal photos!

Hope you like them, I think these would make a lovely craft activity to do with the children over the holiday.  I'll be back in a weeks time with the mid challenge post.  In the mean time why not take a peak at all the lovely images!

Id like to enter these magnets into the following challenges:

Stampin' For The Weekend - Sparkle and Bling

Morning!

Here I am with my DT Card for Stampin' For The Weekend.

Our new challenge is one I'm sure you're all going to love - it's Sparkle and Bling! We all love a bit of glitter, or is that just me?

We've also been sponsored by the fabulous Flat Friends who have some super cute images for you all to cover in glitter.

So here's my card - it actually ended up being simple.  Actually this is the second card I made for the challenge - the first one was lovely and had loads and loads of sparkle and I took a photo and sent it to my sister for her birthday.  The phone I used to take the picture then broke, and the picture was lost! So last night I had to make a new one card and this is what happened. But I like this one too... I love the sparkly cupcake!  You can never have too much glamour dust.

In case you're interested the papers are from First Edition (Sweet Owl), the border and sentiment punches are from Stampin' Up and the ribbon and heart buckles have been lurking in a drawer for about a year!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Through the craft room door - Anything Goes
Use it Tuesdays - Birthdays
Card Mania Challenges - Pearls and / or Gems
Whoopsi Daisy Challenges - Use your Markers
Charisma Cardz Challenges - Girly

Sarah Hurley - Pink Sparkles
Crafting By Designs - Anything Goes
The Pink Elephant - Feminine Birthday
I love Promarkers - Anything Goes

Thanks for looking! I'll be back later with another post and a bit of good news!

Hugs
