Thank-you Teacher!

Morning!

It's time for a new challenge at Tuesday Throwdown and we have a fab challenge today for you all.
The challenge is Thank-You Teacher.  This card puts me nice and ahead - ready for when my little boy leaves his current nursery, ready to go to"big school" with his big sister.

As always we have a super sponsor and this week it's Bugaboo! And they've been very generous and let us all have an image to work with - here's my card:

I've used some scrapbooking papers by Gracie Taylor, two Stampin' Up! punches and the rest is from my stash.

Dies and/or Punches - Stampin' For The Weekend

Morning!

Hope you're all ready for the weekend and have something nice planned.  This weekend I'll mainly be making and selling cake.  The WI I'm part of is having a bake sale to raise money so hopefully we'll do well.

It's time for a new challenge at Stampin' For the Weekend!

This time our theme is Punches and/or Dies and we have an amazing surprise package for our winner this week.

I've use a Stamp Fairy image and the papers are First Edition - Animal Antics. I'm also a swot so I've used dies and punches - Nestabilties and my favourite Stampin' Up! punch combo.

Hope you can join us this week, I love looking at what other people have made - although I know that when I visit people's blogs to see what they've made - my wish list just gets bigger and bigger!

Friendship!

Morning!

Thankfully it's almost the weekend!  Yippeee! Our new challenge is starting today at Stampin' for the Weekend and I do hope that you can join us.

We were very fortunate to be given some beautiful images to work with - and again like a wimp I chose one with easier hair to colour! I'm such a wuss!

Tammy's Scrapin Corner - Guest Post

Morning!

I was very pleased to have won a guest spot over at Tammy's Scrapin Corner last week - I didn't realise (although I probably should have) that some of the girls on their DT are also my teamies at Tuesday Throwdown - *Waves Hello*

I was even luckier to be sent an image to use from their sponsor this week: QKR Stampede.  The challenge this weekwas to use 1 image, 2 die cuts and 3 embellishments.

So here's my card: 1 image - check, 2 die cuts - check (2 clouds), 3 embellishments - check (ribbon and two pearls).

I really couldn't think what to pair this image with then I remembered that I had a beach bum embossing folders lurking in my craft draw that had never been used. 

I also found a great tutorial on how to do clouds with promarkers and whilst they aren't that clear on this picture, they look really good.  In fact, I made another card last night with the same cloudy background.  Click here to see the tutorial - I never though it could be so simple!

A huge thanks to Tammy's Scapin Corner and letting me play along!  I can't wait to see what everyone else creates as I'm scheduling this post as the challenge goes live while I'm at work. Let's hope it works!

Teddy Bears and Tutus

Morning!

It's time for a new challenge at Tuesday Throwdown and this week it's a recipe challenge.  For the lucky winner of this challenge is a super prize from our sponsor:

So here's our recipe - 2 colours(image colours are fine), 2 things beginning with "T", and 2 ribbons. It's certainly a challenge to get you thinking this week.

Here's my take on the challenge using an image from our sponsor:

So my two colours are brown and pink, my two t's are Teddy Bears and Tutus (ok - so I've taken a bit of a liberty with the bears!), and as you can see I have one ribbon across the middle and the second ribbon was some sheer organza that I've stitched and ruffled to make a tutu!
