Evening!!
Is anyone else cold?? I'm frozen!
I just wanted to share with you all my first commission ... actually, calling it a commission sounds far to exciting. I was showing off the gift box I made the other week to people at work and one of my colleagues asked if I could make a card for her friend who is having a baby girl. So here it is:
The image is a new digi I bought especially for this card from the DigiStamp Boutique. I also made a quick and simple tag to match it using the same image and pink scalloped circle as on the card with a quick eyelet and a spare piece of ribbon.
I've gone for some simple paper piecing - my new favourite technique!
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Pollycraft Monday - Favourite Things (Paper Piecing - my new favourite!)
Lollipop Crafts - Anything Goes
Passion for Promarkers - New Beginnings
Do You Stack Up - Ribbons
Saturday Challenge - Ribbons
Sketch N Stash - Free Choice Sketch (Number 75! + New Digi) -
edited to add: oops I forgot to add the picture of the sketch I used!! My Bad - sorry!
Thanks for looking!

Afternoon!
Hope you're all having a nice Sunday! We'll just ignore the fact it's Monday tomorrow and that means work! BOO!
I've managed to reach the dizzy heights of 30 followers!! How amazing - so hello to Tracy my most recent follower. (Tracey - I can't see your blog address on your profile so if you leave it in the comments box below and I'll pop over for a good old nose!!)
Here's my latest make, I was browsing for a box tutorial and came across this tutorial for magic boxes and look what I made:
How cute is that, even if I do say so myself. It was so easy to make. Although I didn't have the exact same dimensions as the tutorial my measurements so my box lid is a little bit big. But it only took about an hour to make, mainly through me using my own measurements and having to do maths! The little inside boxes were especially easy to make, once I'd got the hang of it. Try it out!!
I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:
Craft Your Passion - Make a Bag or a Box
Papertake Weekly - I've used Blooms and Bows
Do You Stack Up - Patterned Paper
Ladybug Crafts - Bows
Little Claire's - Anything but a Card
Bunny Zoe - Picture Inspiration
Thanks for looking - and don't forget to give it a go!!

Time to buy a hat ...
Hi,
Hope you all having a nice weekend!
Some of our friends are getting married in April and although we've known for ages, our invitation came this week - so I made an acceptance card for them. I sat down just to make a small note card - but I ended up making this!
I picked up some Bazzill jewel templates for half prince in the sales so the bird is made using them.
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Tuesday Throwdown - Neutral Colours
The Pixie Cottage - Sketch
Do You Stack Up - Patterned Paper
Paper Sundaes - Favourite Challenge - A card with no people (April 2010)
Simply Create Too - Love is in the Air
Southern Girls - White on White
Thanks for looking!

Winter Birthday Card..
Hi,
I though I'd post this card rather than go in the kitchen and do the washing up. Partly because I hate hate hate washing up and party due to the fact our Kitchen is f-f-f-f-freezing and our sitting room is so warm and toasty.
I've made it intending it to be a birthday card for my friend's birthday later on in the month.
I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:
Sew Many Challenges - Anything Goes
Cupcake Craft - Born on a Winters Day
Sassy Cheryl's - Bright and Cheery
Winter Wonderland - Birthday Wishes
Sketch Saturday - Sketch
The Stamping Boutique - Die Cuts

Shake it ...
Hi,
I've been practicing my new found ninja skills today on my husband, that we were taught in our self defense class last night, and I think he's impressed but also a bit sore as I was a bit over enthusiastic demonstrating what we learned and forgot to mention that he may possibly get hit. Oops!
Here's a christmas card I never got round to posting - it was for my lovely friend Gemma who helped us out last night.
It's a shaker card, I think I've made one before - so when I made it I decided I didn't need to look for any instructions - maybe next time I will as it took a while to figure out. Gemma liked it though so that's good!
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Tuesday Throwdown - Baby It's Cold Outside
Do You Stack Up - Pink
Lexis Creations - Anything Goes
Southern Girls - Show us your Sparkle
Thanks for looking!

Paper Piecing
Evening!
This afternoon I put together a thank-you card for one of my friends who cam to our rescue and looked after our children at short notice this evening as myself and my husband who never have a social life both had things to do this evening! I've been at our WI meeting and had a great time with a self defense lesson.
I had a go a paper piecing - I've been meaning to try it for a while and I wish I'd done it earlier - how fab is it? I'm definitely going to do it again - it looks amazing. As I mainly use digital images I wasn't to sure how to do it as all the tutorials I'd seen were for rubber stamping. However the other day I saw this tutorial on the Card Crafter's Circle blog which explained how to do it with a digital image really simply.
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Crafty Creations - Something New (New Technique!)
For Fun - Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp - Spots and/or Stripes
Card Mad Fairy - Thank-you
Stamping For The Weekend - Out with the Old (It's all been lurking in my stash for a while!)
Thanks for Looking

Birthday Cake..
Hi!
Just a quick post from me to share my latest card. I've used some of my fancy new Marianne dies that I've bought in the last week or two. I don't have an embossing mat for my Bigshot so I've just been using an embossing tool with the paper still in the die to help create the texture.
I love this paper and the little cake - it's so cute!
I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:
Cupcake Craft - Something New
Papertake Weekly - Die Cute Challenge
Saturday Challenge - Let Them Eat Cake
Crafty Cardmakers - No Floral Embellishments
Ladybug Challenge - Show Us Your New Stash
Simply Create Too - Layers, Layers and More Layers
Bee Crafty - Celebrations + Balloons
I'd also like to say hello to my new followers: Katrina and Victoria! I can't seem to see a link to either of your blogs (probably because I'm doing something wrong) - so if you can leave me a comment with your blog address and I'll be over a good old nosy on your blog!
Thanks for Looking!

World's Smallest Blog Candy Winner
Evening.
Hope you're all having a good evening!
My blog is one year old today and to celebrate I've just eaten a rather delicious banana muffin on behalf of the blog!
So the winner was Sandra!! If you can email me your address I'll get your package sent off - my email address is imadeacard@gmail.com. You'll be pleased to know that the original chocolate is still in tact and has not been needed for any emergencies this week!
Thank-you to all my lovely followers - I wish I had a present for you all!

I got my lovely little mini-me Emily to pick the blog candy winner out of a bowl, although she looks a bit startled in this picture! You just see Ben at the side checking out the bowl to see if any of the other names are edible!

Grrr ... Computers!!
Evening!
Our laptop is offically dead. It's gone to be repaired, luckily we knew it was on it's way out, so everything has been backed up. So now I am using our antique old laptop, which is only just coping with me typing this post. So you'll have to bear with me for random spaces and spelling.
It's not going to be back with us until at least the 20th January - which feels like a very long time away. But at least once it's fixed we won't have to keep the screen at a certain angle to keep the picture on, listen to the noise of the fan trying to take off and have a full set of keys on the keyboard. It should have gone into be repaired ages ago - but it was almost useable so we've not bothered.
So remember to back up your computers, it's one of those things we know we should do but never get round to!
Anyway here's my latest card:
The image is a bugaboo freebie from a while back.
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes + New Theme
Catch The Bug - Anything Goes
Sketch Saturday - Sketch
Little Miss Muffett - Something New
Di's Digi Designs - Show Us Something New
Craft Your Days Away - New Beginnings
Craft Calender Challenge - New News + Buttons and Bows
Sassy Cheryl's - New Beginnings
Thanks for looking!

Thank-you
Hello!
I don't think my postman likes me very much any more as I've had three parcels today! I'm still waiting for one though - but apparently big companies like Sizzix don't need to dispatch their parcels anytime soon after you place your order they just send it out at their leisure!
I also just want to say thanks to Brenda - I received my blog candy today and I'm a very happy girl! Thanks very much.
I've managed to persuade one of my work colleagues to come and do a self-defence talk at our Woman's Institute next week. I know I can hear you say - "you're far too young for the WI!" but ours is a younger group and is all about eating cake rather than making Jam. So I made him this card to say thank-you!
I put some glossy accents on his weapon, it looks cool! The black and silver card were both left over from my brother-in-laws birthday card last year. The black card is lovely - it's kind of shimmery/shiny effect.
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Passion for Promarkers - Thank-you
Tuesday Throwdown - Shiny New Year
Aud Sentiments - Use Your Scraps
Bizzy Becs - Anything Goes
Thanks for looking!

Under the sea
Evening!
I'm feeling quite excited as I've had an email today to tell me that one of my rather large sale sprees has been despatched - can't wait to dive in - hopefully it will arrive tomorrow!
Here's my latest card - I had something else in mind completely but somehow this happened. Not to sure about it - it's a bit random. I think the pink hello doesn't work - I might change it later on. I really like this mermaid though she's so cute, I bought her new in the bugaboo sale! Everything else has been lurking in my craft drawers for a while!
I'm also getting a bit fed up with the weather it impossible to get a decent picture at the minute - especially as it's dark and gloomy. How do you all manage to get better pictures?

First Card of the new year!
Evening!
So here's my first card for this year. I'm trying to use up some of my stash as Iaccidently bought loads of stuff in the sizzix and docrafts sale - oops! I can't wait for the postie to arrive this week so I can look at it all. I suspect the only problem will be not knowing where to start!
The friends sentiment was a pain though - it's from a sizzlits strip - but it doesn't cut cleanly or completely. Although I suspect this is user error - the card may have been a bit thick!
I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:
Winter Wonderland - Red and White
Pollycraft - Punch It
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
Card Crafters Circle - Anything Goes
If The Shoe Fits - Use your Stash
Hello to my new follower - Sylvie!

Happy New Year & Blog Candy!
Hello and Happy New Year!
On the 9th of January my little blog is one year old so I wanted to say thank-you to all my followers for all the lovely comments you've left and the help you've given me with my random questions!
So in my candy there is:
A pack of ribbons
A pack of flat back beads
Some card charms
Some Lili of the Valley images and
Some yummy chocolate!
The Lili of the Valley images were free with a magazine but Promarkers seem bleed on them (although I suspect it may just be my horrible technique) - hopefully someone else can make use of them!
My candy is only open to my current followers (so those already following) so if you would like to enter leave me a comment below and I'll get my lovely little Emily to pick a name out of something resembling a hat on the 9th. (I've pinched Donna's idea as she always enlists her grandson to help!)
Also I can't guarantee the chocolate will be the elves it may end up being something else equally as tasty - it all depends on what kind of week I have at work or if I need to use it in an emergencyto bribe the children!
So thanks again for your support and good luck!
