Craft Your Days Away - For Children

Happy Saturday!

Hope you've all got something nice planned for the weekend. Today will see me buying some gold wool to crochet a tea cosy - how random!  I've never made one in my life but in a months-ish time it'll be entered to the a competition at the Staffordshire County Show - so no pressure!  How hard can it be?! (Although, I think I may be bitten off more than I can chew here!)

A fabulous new challenge launches today at Craft Your Days Away.

CYDA Logo

This new challenge is For Children, which is fabulous, even better is our amazing sponsor Bugaboo who are providing a great prize of 7 images (how will you choose?)

So here's my card:

I used an image from Bugaboo called Kidz Boy Balloon, my papers are Gracie Taylor - Playtime, for the denim paper and Papermania - Happy Birthday to You for the lighter paper.  The cupcake is cut with a Marianne Die and I used the world's supply of Glossy Accents on the balloons!

So why not pop over and see the rest of my teamies creations and then play along with us - I can't wait to see what you create!

I'd like to enter this card in to the following challenges:

Ladybug Crafts Inc - Birthday Cards
Passion for Promarkers - Cut it Out
Stampin' for the Weekend - Sparkle and Shine

Thanks for looking, hope you all have great weekend!

Guest Designer - Lexi's Creations

Evening!

A week or so ago I won a guest spot for Lexi's Creations .

Their new challenge is: Use Your Punches and Die Cuts.  I don't have many punches so die cuts it was! (Note to self: Get hold of Husband's Shiny Credit Card to fix this crafting emergency soon!)

Here's my card; the image was very kindly provided by the sponsor of this challenge Fairy Dust Crafts and is called Auri.

I love this ruffled ribbon - I must get some more (in a range of colours just to be on the safe side) as it looks great!

Why not stop by the Lexi's Creations Blog and play along with us!  Thanks for letting me play along with you!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Birthday Cake..

Hi!

Just a quick post from me to share my latest card.  I've used some of my fancy new Marianne dies that I've bought in the last week or two.  I don't have an embossing mat for my Bigshot so I've just been using an embossing tool with the paper still in the die to help create the texture.

I love this paper and the little cake - it's so cute!

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Cupcake Craft - Something New
Papertake Weekly - Die Cute Challenge
Saturday Challenge - Let Them Eat Cake
Crafty Cardmakers - No Floral Embellishments
Ladybug Challenge - Show Us Your New Stash
Simply Create Too - Layers, Layers and More Layers
Bee Crafty - Celebrations + Balloons

I'd also like to say hello to my new followers: Katrina and Victoria!  I can't seem to see a link to either of your blogs (probably because I'm doing something wrong) - so if you can leave me a comment with your blog address and I'll be over a good old nosy on your blog!

Thanks for Looking!

Grandad

Evening

I'm so full!! I've just got back from my work's Christmas Dinner and it was yummy. I decided to be a bit crazy and not have turkey - but went for Moroccan Lamb instead and a nice chocolate cheesecake for pudding!!

Here's the card I made for my lovely Grandad - he's very old now and not entirely with it - but I'm hoping it cheers him up a bit!

I've used some more of my lovely Dovecraft Paper.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

The Pixie Cottage - Sketch / Someone Special
Catch the Bug - Baby It's Cold Outside

Stepper Card

Hi,

It's the happy hour here - which means the children are asleep in their beds having an afternoon nap and I have some well earned peace and quiet.

Today I've had a happy crafting parcel through the doors in the shape of a deer die - I can't wait to give it a go, in fact once I've finished this post I'm off to crank up my big shot.  I got it from a site called Capture the Magic - and they sent a little unexpected freebie of some little train eyelets! So thanks very much for that!

Here is the card I made last night - I though I'd have a go at making a stepper card and was surprised at how easy it was.

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Everybody Art Challenge - Christmas Card
Papertake Weekly - Christmas Crackers
Ladybug Challenge - Winter Blues
Sew Many Cards -Stair Steps
Aud's Sentiments - Winter Sentiments
Crafty Calendar Challenge - Winter Wardrobe
Little Claire's - Shaped Cards

Thanks for looking!

Marianne Snowflakes and a Cat

Evening!

I've bought myself a set of Marianne Snowflake dies - they are lovely but are fiddly beyond belief to get the cut shape out of the die. I can only assume I'm doing something wrong as I'm currently having to poke them out (carefully) with my craft knife.  So if you have any tips for getting them out let me know.

Here is my latest card. I've been having a play with my embossing folders this time.

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Tuesday Throwdown - Dimension and Texture
Freshly Brewed - Emboss It
Paper Sundaes - Sundae Bar (Buttons and Green)
Card Mad Fairy - Buttons
The Stamping Boutique - Monthly Competition

Thanks for looking!
