Kitty Bee Spotlight

Happy Wednesday everyone!

I love the Spotlight part of being on our Kitty Bee Design Team, it's also the most difficult - it takes me ages to choose which image to use as there are so many cute images!

I made this card for one of my lovely friends as up until this afternoon was due to be going into hospital at the weekend.  Now her op has been postponed so I'll have to put it away for a little while.  I chose this cute little ladybug image for my card - I think he is perfect to make her feel better.

I love this dotty paper too - it's perfect with the image, it's actually out of a very floral Prima paper pack.  You can't really tell on this image but the wings are all lovely and sparkly!

Crafty Creations Challenges - Keep it Simple
Digi Stamps 4 Joy - Dies / Punches
I love Pro Markers - Use Die-Cuts
The Paper Shelter - Animal Magic
Simon Says Stamp - Anything goes with Pearls
Tuesday Throwdown - Anything Goes
Cutie Pie Challenge - Spots and Dots

Thanks for stopping by to have a look!

I do hope you can join us for our challenge- it nice and easy, we just want to see flowers on your creation somewhere either on the paper, the image or as an embellishment.

Aloha Friday Challenge - Love / Valentines!

Hi,

After being all on time last week - I'm back to my usual service of posting a day late.

I'm feeling quite exited today as I'm going to the Creative Stitch and Hobby Craft event in Manchester at home.  Woop Woop!!! I'm hoping to pick up some crafty bargains and lots of "essentials"!

I'm here with my design team post for Kitty Bee Designs - we're half way through our love / valentines challenge.

Here's my card - this will be my valentines card for my husband - good job he doesn't read my blog!!

This cute image is called My Heart Bunny - it's so super cute.  The papers are Crate Paper - Fourteen - which is a beautiful paper stack.  I'd like to say I've kept this quite simple for a reason - but actually I don't have many embellishments that are suitable for a guy card.  (Maybe I could buy some today!!)

Thanks for stopping by and looking - I hope you can join us for our challenge - you can link up your card here!

I'll be back with some challenges later - once I've spent all my money!

Crafts 4 Eternity - With Love
Digi Haven - Valentines Day

Stampin' for the Weekend - Anything But a Card

Morning.

I'm not a work today which is great, especially as I've got all my crafty bits out.  The only problem is that the house is a bit cold and I'm being mean and not putting the heating on, so I've got my husband's fleecy dressing gown on!!  (Thanks Dave! - and yes that is glitter glue sleeve - oops!).

Anyway this morning I'm sharing my Stampin' for the Weekend project:

For this challenge our lucky winner will be getting a surprise gift.  Our theme for this fortnight is Anything But a Card.   Here's my project - I've made a wine gift tag.  It was a Christmas Gift for my son's nursery teacher - not a very original gift, but I'm sure it's considered a staple for all people who work with small children on a daily basis!!

I ended up making a fair few of these wine gift tags - as they are nice and simple (and because lots of people I know drink wine and/or have small children!)

The image is from Kitty Bee Designs, I used it lots and lots over Christmas as it's easy to colour up and is super cute!

So why not join us at Stampin' For the Weekend and link up your not-a-card project!  Can't wait to see what you all create!!

I'll be back later to add some challenges!
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Passion for Promarkers - Anything Goes
Through the Craft Room Door - Anything Goes
Kaboodle Doodles - Baby it's cold outside

Kitty Bee Designs - Super Cute Lady Bird Baby.

Evening.

It's my turn to do a spotlight card for the the Kitty Bee Designs blog.  It's a fab idea - we get to pick one of Ruth's super cute images and do whatever we want!

So here's my first spotlight post - and I must admit I've been coveting this cute little ladybird image ever since Team Kitties used it for a challenge last year. I was asked to make a new baby card for one of our friends who's baby is due any day now and I knew exactly what image to use.

Have you seen it? It's just too cute to be allowed and just perfect for my card!

The lace and script papers are from Stampin UP! and I really can't remember where the hearts paper is from!

While we are talking about Kitty Bee, why not stop by the blog and join in our new current challenge? The theme is something new - a technique, a product or perhaps even try a new tutorial! Our sponsor is A Random Fan who are offering 3 digis to winner. So why not click here and join in the challenge too!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Stampin' for the Weekend - Anything Goes

Hi,

Happy New Year and all that!!

This is my first post of the new year.  With both my DT's taking a break over Christmas I don't seem to have done any crafting at all.  Hopefully once I start making things I'll find my crafting mojo - I think it got put in a box with all my Christmas card stuff and stashed away.

I've also realised my little blog is 3 years old - so I'll sort out a little candy over the next week or so for my lovely followers.

Anyway.  It's time for the first challenge of the year at:

This first challenge is super hard and will require lots of thought from you all.... nah only kidding - it's anything goes!!

This time we are sponsors by one of our lovely regular sponsors:

So here's my card.  I made a while back for a friends 60th Birthday.

I think the paper is a magazine freebie and the image is from Tiddlyinks.  I also covered the bird cage in some distress crackle paint, but you can't really tell from this photo but it is!

I do hope that you'll be able to join us for this challenge!  Especially as I'm going to the Creative Stitches and Hobby Crafts event in Manchester in a couple of weeks so I need some lovely things to put on my shopping list!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Stampin' For the Weekend - Anything Goes

Hello!!

I'm pretty excited today - there are only 4 more sleeps until Christmas.  Oh and because I got some cute little wooden bird houses from the supermarket for £1.75, currently they are Christmas themed (and were half price!), but I'm going to alter them and cover them with pretty paper!

Anyway I'm here with my post for Stampin' For the Weekend.  This is our last challenge of 2013 and as everyone is super busy, we've made it an easy one:  ANYTHING GOES!!

We are sponsored for this challenge by Rick St Dennis however I've had printer problems and as I'm a last minute kind of girl I had to improvise and use an card I made a while ago, but hadn't had the chance to blog.

This card was for my lovely father-in-law for his 65th birthday!
The image is from Tiddlyinks and is called the carpenter.  The papers are from Stampin up!  It really should have had a happy birthday sentiment on it - but I made it about an hour before we were due to go out, and couldn't find the stamp I was looking for! Grrr.

Anyway I do hope you can join us for this challenge.  Don't forget to link up your creation and show us what you've been doing.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Charisma Cards - Anything Goes
Digi Galore Challenge - Anything Goes
Crafts 4 Eternity - Anything Goes
Sister Act Card Challenge - Anything Goes

Thanks for looking - hope you have a lovely Christmas

Aloha Friday Challenge - Christmas

Hello!

It's the final challenge of the year at Kitty Bee Designs.

And to finish the year off our theme is CHRISTMAS.  Lovely and Easy.  We've been spoiled for choice with images to use for this challenge but in the end I chose to use Santa Cow - but why not stop by the Kitty Bee Shop and have a look at the other lovely images you can buy! I loves them so much!!

Here's my card:

I'd like to tell you what brand the paper is but I haven't a clue!!  His hat is so lovely and sparkly - I've used loads and loads of glitter on it.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Papertake Weekly - Christmas creatures
Passion for Promarkers - Include a Sentiment

Stampin' For the Weekend - Use something red!

Afternoon!

I'm here with my design team post for Stampin' For the Weekend.  We are sponsored again by Saturated Canary.   Although I think next year I'm going to have to get over my fear of big hair!

Our theme this fortnight is USE SOME RED.   I'm sure you'll all be able to enter something into this challenge.

Here's my card - I used Christmas Angel.

This is actually and 8 x 8 card, I made it to give to someone who has been so helpful to our WI group this year so we needed something a bit showy! Although those spellbinder frames make the air turn blue when I use them as I never seem to get a clean cut!

As my photography is so rubbish the picture just doesn't show how lovely and sparkly her wings are. Plus I finally found a use for all the embossing the power I have squirrelled away but never use.  I even covered the the brad in the centre which I think is green under all that.

Anyway I do hope you can join in our challenge!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

The ABC Challenge - A: Almost Christmas
Emerald Faeries - Christmas
Ladybug Crafty - Christmas / Winter
Natalie and Amy - Cute and Cuddly Christmas
Bearly Mine - Christmas Sentiment
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Winter Wonderland - Embossing
C.R.A.F.T Challenge - Christmas
Little Miss Muffet - You've Been Framed

Stampin' For the Weekend - Feeling Festive!

Hi,

It's time for a new challenge at Stampin' for the Weekend and it's time for a Christmas Challenge.

I love love love Christmas!  I can't wait to put our Christmas tree up next weekend. We have a family ritual which includes a trip to the garden centre for everyone to pick a new ornament, followed by some cake and drink, then back home to decorate the tree.

The children pick such odd ornaments, they used to look at bit out of place with my pre-children, sophisticated all-gold colour scheme, but now I love the mix of random things on the tree, including the Christmas Sheep!  I can't wait to see what they pick this year.

Anyway our festive challenge is sponsored by the amazing:

Here's my card:

You're going to be seeing a lot of this little penguin as I think he is super cute, with a touch of glossy accents on his feet and nose!  He's from Kitty Bee Designs!  I even think he could be a she coloured up pink (obviously!)  I love all the sparky paper too, you can never have too much glitter on a Christmas card!

So come one what are you waiting for - time to start making those Christmas cards!! I can't wait to see what you all make.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Sparkles Forum Challenge - Animals
Visible Image - Make it Sparkle
A little bit crafty - Sparkle and Shine

Creatalious Challenges - Christmas Time
Crafty Sentiments - Christmas

Our theme for this challenge is Fall Colours.

I made a corner book mark with this cute bear image:

I love the ruffled ribbon - so much easier than trying to make ruffles yourself!  (the Book is Inheritance by Christoper Paolini, just in case you interested - an excellent book!)

Thanks for looking - I can't wait to see what you all create!

Gorjuss Birthday

Morning!

My mother-in-law is coming to visit today.  For lots of people this wouldn't be happy occasion. Me? I'm thrilled. For two reasons: 1. She is lovely and 2. (and most importantly) she's taking my children home with her!!!!!!  Yahooooooooo!!  3 whole days of freedom, not being woken up by someone climbing in to bed with us at 3am and spending the rest of the night hogging the bed or wiggling, or serenading us at 5am in morning while sat on the toilet!  A full nights sleep will be mine!!!

Anyway enough bragging - I wanted to share with you all a card I made for my lovely work friend last week.   I was searching through me stamps and found some Gorjuss stamps I haven't really used very much - so decided to ink up this cutie.  Unfortunately the squirrel to the side of the girl didn't make it!

The picture is very poor quality - mainly due to me taking it in my car on a cloudy day (don't ask!) but you get the idea. I've used some more of my lovely Crate Paper packs - this one is Maggie Holmes. The tickets are super cute - I bought them in a random little craft shop and then stamped badly on them.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Passion for Pro Markers - Give me a P (pearls, patterned paper, pin, pink)
Ladybug Crafts Ink - Anything Goes
Hobby House Challenge - Roses
Sister Act Card Challenge - Anything Goes
Craftin' Boutique - Anything Goes

It's a bit more cute than spooky.  I just love this cute Halloween Cow - it's from Kitty Bee Designs.  The picture doesn't show the ribbon my sign is hanging on very well but it's fab I bought it a craft fair last year.

So we not pop along and join our challenge - I can't to see what you all create.  Although I think I may just win the prize for the least spooky entry.

Kitty Bee - Aloha Friday Challenge: Halloween

Check me out!

Two posts in one day.  I'm back with my Kitty Bee Designs DT post.  This challenge our theme is Halloween.

This week I've been using the cute Kitty Bee Images to make little treat boxes for my friends at work. My plan is too fill them with mini bags of Haribo.  Everyone likes Haribo.

I've never made these little pillow boxes before they were super easy. I downloaded a template, printed it on the back of my patterned paper, cut it, scored it, folded it and stuck it. Easy peasy!  I also added some lovely black lace to tie up with.

I don't have a lot of Halloween papers - but I've got some Gorjus papers and they were just what I needed.  How cute is this little bat! You can buy these lovely images here!

I'd like to enter this project into the following challenges:

My Craft Spot - Trick or Treat
Stamp and Create - Fall or Halloween
Creative Corner Challenge - Anything but a Card
Crafty Catz - Halloween
Digi Haven - Halloween
Polkadoodles - Halloween
Simply Create Too - Halloween
Paper Pretties - Halloween
Ribbon Carousel - Fall or Halloween

Here's my card:

I've used this cute little Snow Penguin Digi from Kitty Bee Designs - I love it! You could get it here! My paper is from My Minds Eye and is left over from last year.  (To be fair my left over paper from last year is enough to make all my Christmas cards this year and probably next year too!)

Aloha Friday - Water - Mid Challenge Reminder!

Evening.

I'm here with my mid challenge reminder for the Kitty Bee Designs "Aloha Friday  Challenge".  The theme is water and after I've done my post I'm off for a soak in the bath.  I hate to admit it but I've been doing some *exercise* ugh and my muscles are aching. So I thought a nice long soak in the bath with a book would be just the thing.

This time I've made an invitation.  If I was really clever I could have done the whole thing on the computer, coloured it digitally and then printed out onto little cards but as I don't actually know how to do anything apart from print on normal A4 I had to do a bit more faffing around.

Here it is:

It's only a little 4 x 4 card.  These cute little Jellyfish look really lovely in real life - I've put some lovely stickles glitter on them.

So why not enter our challenge with your watery creations.  You'll just need to make sure you enter on the original challenge post here.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Papertake Weekly - Make it Sparkle
Bunny Zoe - Something Blue
The Pink Elephant - Digital Images or Papers
Sister Act Card Challenge - Anything Goes
Wags 'n' Whiskers - Sparkle

Thanks for looking!
