Good news + Blog Candy Winner

Oh my - it's so freakin cold!

I'm sat in the house, with heating on, and a big fleecy dressing gown and I'm still cold.  Bears have the right idea hibernating all winter!

Anyway I just want to share my good news with you all.  I've been picked to join the design team over at Tuesday Throwdown!!  My first card is next week but why not pop over and checkout this weeks challenge "Frame It".

I'm so pleased - thanks very much girls!

I've also realised I'm a week late with picking my blog candy winner!  My little Emily ended up picking the winner which was Sue - Bearhouse!  Here's Emily with the winning post-it note! I'm not really sure why was covering her face - in fact if you do know what goes on in a four year old's head I'd be interested to know!

So congratulations Sue - if you send me your address I'll get your candy posted off soon-ish if I cant get to the post office as I'm to much of a wimp to go out in the snow, I'll post it from work on Monday

First card of 2013

Morning!

Hope you all had a good new year!  My date with my craft drawers was lovely - all except one are now neat, tidy and organised.  (Can't see it lasting very long though!)

It's time for the first challenge of 2013 at Stampin' For the Weekend and it's a nice easy one to start the year with - Anything Goes!

We are so lucky to be sponsored by the fabulous Stamp Fairy this time

Plus they kindly gave us some lovely images to work with.  I chose Mimi Stars 3 - she's so cute!

This card is for one of my lovely friends as it's her birthday on Monday!  The star paper is from Papermania and the patterned yellow glitter card is a scrap I had left over from a beautiful set from Doodlebug Designs (I still have a small piece of the flocked yellow card left from that and I like to admire it from time to time.)

Hope you can pop over and join in with our challenge - it's always lovely to see what other people are doing.

And just a little reminder to my current followers that I have a some candy on offer at the minute here

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Make it Monday - Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Tuesday Throwdown - Bright and Happy New Year
Crafty Creations - Anything Goes
Willow Sketchie - Anything Goes
Paperplay - Celebrations
Freshly Brewed - Anything Goes
Natalie and Amy - Favourite Things - (I love this yellow glitter card and those sequin strings -)

Anyway thanks for looking!

Hugs

Happy New Year & a Little Blog Candy

Happy New Year to you all,   I hope you all had a lovely evening.

My little blog will be 2 years old on the 9th January, so I though I'd put together a little blog candy to say thank-you to my followers who've supported me over the last two year as well as given me so much inspiration.

There is:
7 different lengths of ribbon (minimum of 1 metre - most are longer)
5 Doilies
Buttons
Brads
12 Metal Charms
5 Buckles (I think that's what they are called)
and some chocolate stars. (Which are really tasty as I bought one or two extra just as a quality check!!)

If you want to have a chance to win, simply leave a comment below and I'll get my little boy to pick someone's name out of the hat on the 10th January.  (This candy is only open to those people currently following me.)

Thanks for all your support and good luck!

Julie xx

Here's another one of my Christmas Card - this one was for my husband:

The image is a stamp from Lili of the Valley - I thought it was cute!  The papers are First Edition - Stocking Fillers (I think!)
