Lovely squishy babies!

Hi,

Here's my February spotlight for the Kitty Bee Design Team.  Happily there is a new baby in the family and I love babies (especially ones you can give back!) so a lovely card was called for.

I've love this image for baby cards - it works so well and is just perfect. (Especially if you are feeling a little lazy and don't want to do lots of colouring!)

What really makes this card is all the glamour dust on it - the picture does it no justice as it is so sparkly in real life.  I've still got it on a shelf ready to be sent and I love the way it twinkles!

Hope you like it - thanks for looking!

New home

Happy Saturday!

Here is a card I made for my lovely work colleague who left us and moved away!  She has the most amazing infectious laugh!

I teamed this cute A day for Daisies image with some lovely first edition papers and then sprinkled liberally with glamour dust!  It was really very pretty - even if I do say so myself.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

A Day for Daisies - Add some glitter
Simply Create Too - Anything Goes
Sister Act Card Challenge - Anything Goes

Thanks for looking!

Aloha Friday Challenge - Valentines!

Afternoon,

I'm here a little late with my DT post for Kitty Bee Designs.

This fortnight our challenge is Valentines / Love and our sponsor is 2 Cute Ink, who are giving our lucky winner some super cute digis!!!

I chose to use an image called "Owl you need is love".  This is my husbands valentines card, although I've put it away somewhere safe so let's hope I can find it on the day!

I've very simply used some red card and used Stampin' Up! stencil to do the embossed hearts.  The paper is from a Crate Paper stack called Fourteen!

Anyway thanks for looking - don't forget to link up your valentines project to our fab challenge!   Click here to be taken to the post!

Thanks for looking!

Card in a box!

Hi,

Here I am with my first Kitty Bee Project of the year and it's my January spotlight project.

I've been spending a bit much time on pinterest recently rather than actually making stuff - oops!  But it's paid off though.  I've seen loads of these card in a box tutorials and thought I'd give it a go myself!

They are actually super easy, I had to improvise a bit as I don't own a full size score board but I managed. (I'll be getting my husband to rectify this on my birthday!)

I used the Kitty Bee image Hug Me Lady Bug - how cute!!

Other items used include Tattered Florals die, burlap stencil, distress ink, a Stampin' Up sentiment and some paper that has been lurking in my box for at least the last 3 years.

Hope you like it!

Thanks for stopping by!

Unusual Colour Christmas!

Hi,

I'm here with my challenge post for Kitty Bee Designs.  This is our last challenge before Christmas and our theme is unusual colour Christmas - so step away from those reds, gold and greens.

As you can see from my card below I went wild! Well not really wild I chose blue as my colour and used this seasons must have Bunny!

I love this paper too it's from My Minds Eye and is called Winter Wonderland - I got it cheap in the sales last year!!

I'm probably going to make a few cards like this - well until the glitter card runs out as they are lovely and easy to make and more importantly... quick!!   You can buy these little cuties from the Kitty Bee Shop.

I do hope you can pop over and join us for our challenge.

Thanks for looking!

Aloha Friday Challenge - Thanks!

Hi,

The current challenge over at Kitty Bee Designs is "Thanks", now this technically isn't my challenge week, but the other team got to play with some A Day for Daisies images and I have got a bit of a soft spot for them so I joined in too!

Here's my card - I've used a lovely image called Curvy Birds - it's lovely.  The little birds had some glitter on them - they were super cute!

So why not pop along and join in with our challenge.  That's if you're not all too full of Turkey from Thanksgiving!

Thanks for looking!

Cute Little Bunny

Afternoon!

I;m here with my Kitty Bee Spotlight post for November!

Every year I have one go to image for my Christmas cards.  One that will go with almost any paper and looks good whether you've spent ages colouring and shading or just getting it coloured as you've still got what feel like 100 cards left to be finished,

Last year it was a cute Kitty Bee Penguin, this year is the year of the totally cute bunny!  Just when you think things can't get any cuter - up pops another!

SQUEEAAL!! It's a Halloween Blog hop!

Happy Weekend!

I'm so excited - Kitty Bee Designs have launched a bunch of amazing new images and to celebrate we are having a blog hop.  If you're on the hop - hopefully you've joined me from Tracey's blog

As soon as I saw the images I knew which one I had to have and I know when you see it you're going to love it too.

I've got a cute little Ghost Giraffe, it just cracks me up.  I reminds me so much of my children when they try to play hide and seek, but only cover their faces and you can still see the rest of them!  This little guy has thrown a blanket over his head, covered himself in talc and hoped for the best!

I've teamed it up with some craft card and some new to me but old season Stampin' Up Papers!

You all know how a blog hop works by now - visit all the other fabulous blogs on the hop, go bankrupt deciding which stamps you want and win amazing prizes!

There will be 3 random winners who will each win a digi of their choice from the new release - hmmm I wonder if I can enter???

Every comment left on the blog hop gives you a chance to win, multiple comments on the same blog don't count but the more blogs you comment on, the better your chances are to win!  If you want to check out all of the new release images click here to be taken to the Etsy store.

The Hop ends Sunday 7th September at 11pm Hawaii time. (10pm UK time!) and the lucky winners will be posted on Tuesday 9th September.

And if that wasn't enough Ruth is offering a 15% off coupon to her Etsy store (click here) for Labor Day.  Code is 'Labor15' and runs from Friday 29th August through to 5th September, which can be used on on both clear stamps and digi stamps. (Thanks to Kel I now know all about Labor day as it's not something we have in the UK!)

Your next stop on the hop is: Taniaj - can't wait to see what she's made!!  The full hop line up is just below!

Thanks for stopping by, hope you enjoy the rest of the hop and good luck!

Here's the Hop Order just in case:

Kitty Bee Spotlight Post - Super Cute Owl Alert!

Hello!!

I'm here with my spotlight post for the Kitty Bee Designs blog.

This could have been my challenge card for our current "In the Garden Challenge" as I couldn't decide between two cute images - so what else could I do? I coloured them both and made two cards.
(What's that? You've not linked your card to our challenge yet?  Come on... closes on Friday!  You need the link? Click here!)

I've chosen to use Plant Pot Owl and teamed it up with some lovely purple papers. In fact pretty much every card I've made over the last week has been purple as I bought a new pretty paper stack. Yep poor me I had no paper at all in my house, nope none and had to buy some more!  (OK so that last sentence may be a little fib - but you know where I'm coming from as you were probably behind me in the queue!)

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Stamp and Create - Anything Goes
Paper Nest Dolls - Anything Goes
Bunny Zoe - Summer Colours

Anyway thanks for looking - hope you have a fab day!

Aloha Friday Challenge - In the garden.

Hello!

I've been so terrible with my blog recently.  I been making wedding invites for a couple of friends which turned out beautiful (even if I l do say so myself!) But as I've been procrastinating over them I've put my normal crafting to one side.

Happily I've made quite a few cards recently which I've got lined up to show you all.   I've also had a sneaky peek of some fab new images from the fabulous Ruth at Kitty Bee Designs.  I ♥ them and can't find wait to play with them.

This evening I'm sharing my card for our In The Garden challenge at  Kitty Bee Designs.  I've used Peek a Boo Kitty!

My teamies have made some lovely projects so why not stop by check them out and link up while you are there!

Hope you like it - thanks for stopping by!

Kitty Bee Designs - spotlight post!

Hello!

I'm here with my Kitty Bee Designs Spotlight post - we get to take our pick of the lovely images!

I needed two cards quickly this month (I'm so behind at the minute as I've been making wedding invitations for friends and catching up on Game of Thrones - it's like having a full time job!)

I decided to make two cards the same but different and coloured up two Happy Birthday Kitty Bee images.  You'll have to trust me that these cards were very pretty - but the light in my house was terrible when I took the photo and I couldn't even fix the lighting on my PC.

Anyway thanks for stopping by - don't forget you have an other couple of days to enter our Fairytails / Fantasy Challenge - click here!

Thanks for stopping by!

Aloha Friday Challenges - Fairytales / Fantasy

Hello again!

Another catch up post from me - but it's not as bad as my one earlier, this one is only a day late!

This is the mid-challenge inspiration post for our Fairytale / Fantasy Creatures theme.  This challenge we have Meljen's as a sponsor!

I've chosen to use a Kitty Bee image for my card.  I've made this card for my husband as it's his birthday next week - luckily he has no interest in my blog so I'm safe to post this!

My image is called Ninja Kal-Bee I though he fitted the bill of a fantasy creature quite nicely. I've printed him out a couple of times and layered him up - which you can't really tell in this photo! If you want to own some Kitty Bee cuties - you should stop by the Etsy shop and have a look!

So don't forget to link up your card on the original link here!

Thanks for looking!

Stampin' For the Weekend - Final Challenge Ever .....sob sob

Morning.

I'm playing catch up today.  I totally forgot to post my SFTW design team post last week!  Better late than never - sorry girls!

It's also Stampin' For the Weekend's last every challenge - the challenge is closing which is such sad news.  So hop on over there and say goodbye to everyone!  It's been really lovely working with everyone!

So here's my final DT card, the theme was everyone's favourite - Anything Goes!

I made this for my friend Lisa!  I'm loving this Gorjuss Stamp at the minute, and it's really fab for paper piecing - especially if you haven't got time to do lots of colouring.  These papers are pretty - I can't remember the name of them, but they are from the new Docrafts / Santoro range - with the girls with the big heads!  If you've seen them you'll know what I mean.

Anyway - I do hope you can join us for our final challenge!

Thanks for looking

Today our new challenge launches at Stampin' For the Weekend - and our theme is buttons and bows!

We are sponsored for this challenge by The Paper Nest Dolls - they are new to me, but their images are super sweet!

Kitty Bee Designs - Easter Easter Hunt Ever

Hello!

A few weeks ago I opened my big mouth and said to my friends wouldn't it be nice to do an Easter Hunt round the park for the children. "Oh yes" they said and silly me said I'll do it - it'll be easy! Then this Saturday I realised the hunt was the next day!  Cue a very last minute trip to the supermarket for eggs and lots of them!!

Next to make some clues, lovely Ruth from Kitty Bee Designs sent me her very cute Easter Egg Bun so I could start making clues.  I'm a huge fan of her little cuties and so glad I'm on the DT otherwise I would be bankrupt by now.  Here's the link to her Etsy shop - go on take a peek!!

Now in the spirit of making things easy for myself (and leaving it until 11.30pm to sort out!!) and still needing to colour quite a few bunnies - how could I do this quickly?  I opened the image in paint and simply used the paint pot tool to fill in the large areas on the rabbit grey and then a couple of quick clicks to colour it's little nose and ears pink. I then printed out an army of bunnies, with just the eggs to colour.

I coloured the eggs (very very quickly) with my promarkers and made a quick colour book for the smaller children to match up and the older children took the highlighted letter from each word for their part of the hunt - as they needed to find out the name of another bunny.

I then used some classy plastic wallets to put the clues in, and dodged the rain in the park attaching them to trees with a bit of ribbon. It worked really well - and the children had loads of fun.

This was so simple to do and so much fun!  Thanks Ruth!

Thanks for stopping by my blog - my mojo has been missing for a while but I've got a lovely crafty night planned tonight!

Hugs

Julie

Everyone's favourite challenge...

Happy Friday everyone .... what's that ... it's Sunday evening?

Oops - that'd be me late again!

I'm here with my Stampin' For the Weekend post - it should have gone live on Friday, but I'm really not sure where the last two days have gone.

Luckily we have a very easy challenge this fortnight - you might have heard of this one before - ANYTHING GOES. I'm sure you'll have something to enter

Our sponsor for this challenge is Marker Pop

Here's my card. I made it for someone who was leaving at work:

Oh what's this? Another Tiddly Ink image- I think I have problems - ha ha.  I love the paper on this card - it's from a Crate Paper Pack - Fourteen.    The flowers are fabric cut with the Tattered Florals die.  The range are selling little packs of fabric, it's quite thin and cheap but perfect for cards.  I used a small amount of antique linen distress ink just to tone down the white fabric a bit.

Anyway - that's it from me for now - don't forget to enter our challenge!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Digi Choosday - All about the girl
Sister Act - Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp - Mothers Day / Special Girl
Crafts and Me - Anything Goes
Digi Galore Challenges - Anything Goes
Natalie and Amy - Flowers

Thanks for looking!

I'd like to be able to tell you where the papers are from - I think they are First Edition - Spring Drop - but I can't be sure.  What I can be sure of is my new memory box die - it's lovely (although it was a bit of a cow to cut properly!)

Anyway - I hope you can join our challenge, you can link up your monochrome project here.

Stampin' For the Weekend - Sparkle and Shine

Hello!

Hope you've all got something lovely planned for the weekend.  I have a super day planned -  today we are visiting Cadbury world.  Mmmm I can't wait, unfortunately my children think we are actually visiting Willy Wonka's chocolate factory and my little boy (he's nearly 4) is terrified of falling the chocolate river and being sucked up the pipe, like Augustus Gloop!

I'm here with my design team post for Stampin' For the Weekend.  I'm running about a day late - sorry teamies.  Our theme is Sparkle and Shine and our fabulous sponsor is Bunny Zoe's- you should check her store out - there's even a sale this weekend with 20% off stamps.

Here's my card - it's a bit usual for me - I don't tend to use bright colours or images with lots of hair - so you'll have to let me know what you think.

Although it looks like there isn't a lot of sparkle - but her wings are covered in Stickles.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Fan-tastic Tuesday - Anything Goes
Party Time Tuesday - Anything Goes
Passion for Promarkers - Make it Digital
Crafty Catz - Anything Goes
Digitally Sweet - Anything Goes
Jelly Park - Things with Wings
Sister Act - Anything Goes
The Stamping Boutique - Use Glitter

Thanks for looking - and don't forget to play along with our challenge!
